Suffragan Bishop Dunn arrived in El Paso as a young man (Brother Dunn) when God led him from New York to employment in Texas in 1975. First Lady Dunn came down shortly after with their three girls, and eventually, their only son was born several years later.
Since God saved him, Pastor Dunn has been a member of only two churches. In New York, he faithfully attended New Jerusalem Holy Church, and in El Paso, he called Bethlehem Temple Church, Inc. his only church home.
He was called to pastor in 2002 and released to start his work shortly after. Christ Temple Apostolic Church of El Paso was confirmed to him by several witnesses, but he would not leave his church until his pastor, Senior District Elder Clayton Carr, told him it was time to start a work in East El Paso.
Since its inception, Christ Temple has moved to several church sites throughout the city. The current location is the one God ultimately blessed the church to purchase.
Bishop Dunn has served under several bishops since being in the El Paso area: Bishop AC Eddings, Bishop Ronald Young, Bishop William Ellis, Bishop Norman Wagner, Bishop Gregory Newman, and now Bishop James G. Rodges, all within the Mountain States Council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World.
He received his license as a minister in the PAW under Bishop Ellis and was elevated to the eventual office of Suffragan Bishop under Bishop Newman. He currently serves as the chairman of the Mountain States Council (mountainstatescouncil.org)
Pastor and First Lady Dunn are active in their community in the field of medicine. Pastor Dunn actively practices anesthesia, while First Lady, Dr. Dunn, practices psychiatric medicine. They believe in the church receiving an education.
Christ Temple membership includes medical personnel, educators, administrators, drivers, college students, veterans, and more. If you want to know more about Christ, this is the church for you. Stop in. We would love to see you at any of our services.
Christ Temple is the church for people who want to be saved.
